| With the huge number of cultivars out there, I am looking for some practical advice on what yew cultivar I should choose for a hedge I am planning on getting into the ground this Spring. Ideally this hedge will ultimately be dense from ground to top, relatively squared off, and maintainable in the three-foot-high, two-foot-wide range.
Thanks, S. |

| Hicksii is supposed to have a dense columnar habit that makes a great hedge of from 1-6 feet high. Golden Yew, like Hicks, is a shorter growing yew than some of the others, suitable for hedge of 1-4 feet. |
