Hello! I have a flower bed that gets partial sun and has a low evergreen shrub in it. The bed around the shrub was recently tightly covered with mini boulders that have since been spread out to make room for river rocks to fill out the bed. Well since we moved the rocks and temps started warming up a bit here the shrub began to turn brown. We were surprised as its spring and we thought things would be going strong now. There is also a yew in the same bed that is sparse because of pruning but also has some needles turning brown. Do you all think it could be disease? We would love any help you all could give!!!

I don't get a picture (of the subject matter) from your link. When I hit enter and then arrow to the next photo, I can see your other photos. You may want to check and see what's happened. Also, it might not hurt to post the photo directly into your thread. Once you get the photo thing working, you might also consider posting to the conifer forum. There are experts here too, but the conifer forum will have more people with knowledge specific to your plant.

Not sure what the problem with the pic was. Worked perfectly when I tried it.
I did also post to the conifer forum so hopefully they will be able to help. Thanks!

RE: Browning Conifer

It seems to be working now. Guess it was just a glitch on Flickr. I tried it a couple of times the other day with no luck. The other pictures were fine, but the pine picture just continued to show that little revolving icon that sometimes shows while pictures on Flickr load.

I will provide a link to the Conifer Forum thread below, for those interested.
