Do you like prickly leaves? I don't want those things in my yard, all leaves are used for mulch, wouldn't accept one for free, holly I assume.

Sometimes leftover plants are diseased. Inviting problems into your yard is not a bargain, so don't get anything unhealthy looking just because it's cheap.

Sounds like a great deal! Just make sure they look healthy. Be aware that boxwoods grow sloooooowly, so if they're small now, they'll take a long time to get big. I'd buy a bunch!

So, how did you do????
I bought almost all of my plants on clearance from local nurseries and the big box stores. Last year I got 5 gallon roses for 5 dollars each. They settled in over the winter and are now fully leafed out. You don't have to pay a lot to get really good stuff. If you see a bargain (that doesn't include dried out spindly looking stuff) go for it. You'll be glad you did in a year or 2.

The pots are worth that.
