scarletta fetterbush (leucothoe fontanesiana)

Where can I get my hands on some of these?? Locally...no luck (yes, it's ok for my zone). I have looked online, but all I'm finding is either SOLD OUT or UK companies...and lots of them. I have been agonizing for two years for just the right shrub/plant...and believe I've found exactly what I want.....and now I can't seem to get my hands on it! Anyone know anything about it?

Angie

Try forest farm, girards, or greers.

I also find them locally from nursery's that sell "irregulars".

Rare Find has two varieties of L. fontanesiana- 'Cherry Hill' and 'Whitewater'. I have Cherry Hill from them and have been very happy with it- the bulk of my better plants are from them and I have never been disappointed.

Hmmm....getting an error on that link.
Try Rare Find index page, click Leucothoe and there ya go.

Thanks for the feedback. I surely didn't think this would be so difficult! I checked out Forest Farm already, I will check into the other two...Greers and Girards?

Cearbhaill,do you by chance have any photos of your 'cherry Hill'? I have not heard of that one, and since I'm having such a hard time with the 'scarletta,' perhaps I need to go with something that is very similar. (hopefully). I will also see if I can look it up! Thank you!

I have been so frustrated...I have been looking for SO long for just the right plants...and this is "THE one," I just know it is.....and seems to be hard to find...just my luck!

Angie, did you end up finding the scarletta or a picture of the cherry hill? I've also been wanting a scarletta. Thanks.
