| Hello - I went to pick up *Lo & Behold Blue Chip* ... *Miss Ruby* presented herself in a PW pot with very lovely recommendations! I have Nanho Purple & Royal Red(more purple than red really) & wish to add her at one end of the 25'+x9.5' sunny-long-island to surround a decorative bird-house on an 8'pole.
I was hoping to find a cultivar less raggy (than the 2 I have there) w/ color other than shades of purple (not yellow nor white either). I'd appreciate your thoughts!!! €;) |

| Lo & Behold is very different from the regular Buddleias..I have a couple planted last Spring, the flower show last season was ok, not heavy but ok, the flower panicles were kinda small with nice blue color...no need to deadhead and a continuous bloomer...these guys grew quickly..but definitely a nice smallish and neat Buddleia/.. Miss Ruby is a new introduction..I saw one last yr in a flower show..a very nice red color (for a buddleia)...nice combo with the silver leaves...It is supposed to be a bit larger than lo and behold...but smaller than some of the other buddleias...I got one (2-gal) plant from the flower show, overwinter in the open, and in a pot...no sweat for Jersey winter of 2010 (which was pretty cold and wicked)...leaves budding out, limbs growing already... will see how the summer goes.. |

| Many thanks for the Miss Ruby commendations - I went ahead & kept her - planted to complete the half circle around the end of the sunny/butterfly-paradise-bed. After reading more about her ... hard to pass up. I'm eagerly looking forward to the play of colors ... 'hope they work together - in any case, the butterflies & hummers will enjoy them! €;) I was looking for *L&B-BC* in town since last season, to replace *Little Sprite Russian Sage* that grew just like the reg. one. I'm glad to read your review - it's exactly what I needed for the other bed! Thank you - truly appreciate your experience! €;) |
