Does a rooted 'weeping bottle brush' weep?

A neighbor has offered cuttings of her weeping bottle brush . My question is this: Once rooted, would it remain a 'weeping' specimen or would it just be an upright 'normal' shrub? OR, would I be able to start seeds from it? I would really like to duplicate the structure of this interesting ornamental.
(btw, I propagate woody cuttings with a coarse sand bucket & have pretty good success)
Thanks for your input!

if the weeping is in the genetics...and it should be ...

then how would taking a cutting change such???

of course.. weirder things have happened...

a rooted cutting is a clone of the original ... and clone is defined here ... as a genetic duplicate ... which went without saying... since a cut.. doenst affect dna ...

Callistemon viminalis can be grown from seed. It is not a hybrid nor a cultivar of an upright bottlebrush which would necessitate asexual propagation.

However! If you see an individual C. verminalis that you really admire, it's best to take cuttings and make clones rather than rely on the genetic blueprint in each seed. Of course, it can be rewarding to experiment.
