Rose of Sharon in shade?

I had 2 Rose of Sharon that were not impressing me where they were planted. I decided to move them to put hollies in. The spot that I moved the Rose of Sharon to is very shady. I don't care if they don't flower much, but I would like them to survive as they will make a bit of a privacy screen where they are now. Anyone else have them in the shade? (They may get some morning sun, the rest of the day is dappled, at best).

I have 3 of them in part shade and they are doing just fine.

I have one in a very shady spot and it grows and flowers just fine.

I had one that did poorly in shade...I consider shade 3 or less hours of direct sun.

I have another one that gets morning sun and then some early evening sun...its quite happy.
