| One of my Beauty Bushes (Kolkwitzia amabilis) has an odd shape. It looks like a chunk was hacked out of it and is kind of lopsided. I never pruned it but if I prune it down to the part that looks like it's missing, will it grow back in fuller and fill in that area? When do you prune Beauty Bush anyways? |

| Beautybush is an old fashioned shrub that usually responds well to "rejuvenation" or, basically cutting the entire plant off 6-12" above ground level. If it is well established it should re-grow nicely and fairly quickly with a more even shape. The ideal time to do that would be just after flowering. hortster |
