How come no one carries hamamelis mollis?

The x. intermedia clones are everywhere, but I'm utterly unable to find any seedlings of straight mollis. Anyone know of any sources? Or am I stuck with ordering seed?

The hybrid selections are thought to be better. H. mollis varies from seed, buying named clones has been recommended for some time.

Rarefind Nursery has them. I bought a Wisley Supreme from them about a month ago. It looked beautiful, but the first thunderstorm we had, with 50mph wind gusts, and it split right in the middle of the trunk, at one of the branches.

I couldn't believe it. None of my other shrubs or trees were even remotely affected by the storm.

But anyway, Rarefind has 3 of the Mollis': Early Bright, which is sold out, Wisley Supreme, and Gold Edge.
