I have 3 spirea snowmound and have had to cut one down and the other two are going also. What can i do to bring them back.

| Prune them! Seriously cut them back and clean out all that small stuff. |

| I've had bad luck with this one. They did exactly what yours look like. Dieback and thin. Personally, I'd just replace it but I'm sure Ken already said in his post that you can prune back to knubs in early spring or late fall and it will bounce back. |

| I've pruned 1 stem out of 3 and mine looks great as a filler & background plant. I also prune out the stem that bloomed. Renewal pruning is supposedly a great way to get it back in shape. Our 1st year in the ground we didn't get any blooms so I suspect it was either a young plant or pruned heavily when potted up then put out for sale after sprouting. We bought ours dry & overgrown in the pot in early fall for less than $5. Corrine |
