Anyone know the life span of goldmound spirea. Mine are 10 years old and looking pretty ratty, though I trim them after bloom and fertilize monthly April through July and water if it doesn't rain much.
Cut them to the ground and see what happens. I have had some older than that but they really benefit from being 'refreshed'. There was a thread on here a few days ago about this very topic - if you search for it you can see several people treat them this way. Not a shrub to be babied.
