Reversing Rabbit Damage

Hi folks

About three years ago, a hungry couple of bunnies decimated a majority of the bushes in my yard during the winter months. I have since learned some techniques for keeping the rabbits at bay, which have been successful.

Most of my bushes bounced back, but a few have not been as lucky. I have 3 Rose of Sharons, a Ruby Spice Summersweet and a Wine & Roses Weigela that have had very weak growth since the incident. They are very slowly getting taller, but not much. Two of the ROS bushes are about 3 feet tall, but consist of about 4 branches growing straight up with no branching and few flowers. One of the ROS is only a single branch that's a foot tall.

Any tips for something I can use to spur some growth? Or should I consider them a lost cause and start fresh with new bushes?
