Bottle Brush Buckeye shrub

I'm in eastern PA, 15 miles from NJ and also close to zone 7. Zones 7 and 6 mix closely around in this area.
I'm looking to put a Bottle Brush Buckeye where it will get bright shade all day and then only 2 to 2.5 hours the at height of summer of powerful mid-day sun. I know from reading that the shrub will do fine with this much light, but can I expect it to get to 8 to 10 feet? I would really like it to get at least 8 feet over time. What do y'all think, Bottle Brush Buckeye owners? (Thanks) - James

afterthought.....on the other hand, will the 2 hours of mid day sun be too much for the bottle brush buckeye? Feedback appreciated!

Mine is on a somewhat dry slope with 5 hours sun, call 7am to noon.

Planted 3 years ago as a 3 gallon 2' tall shrub. Its now only 3' tall due to tons of dieback from the winter but its almost 6' wide.

Your site in eastern PA sounds ideal to me. Its a very nice shrub so I'd recommend planting it.

Thanks. I'm thinking it might just be that good spot, outside of some wind that whips in the winter sometimes at this location because it's at the head of a side yard between two homes which funnels air sometimes. It's planted now and hopefully home!
