| I planted several last fall and then it rained and rained and rained some more. Leaves dropped early and I thought the bushes might have died.
They all have lots of elongated green buds on them this spring so I guess they are alive but I am still a little concerned because they don't seem to want to open. I can see a little purple on the tops of some of the buds. When do miss kims usually leaf out? Maybe leafing out is late because all the rain caused damage last fall. The regular old lilac trees have been leafed out for a week or so around here. |

| transplant can delay the spring show .... otherwise.. it will come.. when it will come ... if the buds are expanding.. i dont know what more you want ... have patience ... ken |

| Thanks for the info. I should have added that the buds are spacey and there is some dried up or dead twiggy branches towards the bottom of the bush. Since there are buds on most of the branches will the bush recover in full this year or will it take a season or will they ever become totally healthy again. |
