transplanting cinquefoil/potentilla shrub

I have two of these in my front yard and I'd like to move one to the back. I pruned it back pretty well in late winter to rejuvinate some of the woodier branches and was hoping to transplant earlier in the spring. However, with it taking longer than usual for spring to get here and then being met with so much rain I never had a good chance (I've only be able to really work outside two or three weekends since spring has arrived). Anyway, what does everyone think about transplanting now? Is it too late? Or give it a try - if it goes south I've always got another one?

just do it.. ASAP ... and keep it moist thru fall.. not sopping wet.. just moist thru the root mass you move ..

should have done it around april.. while it was still dormant.. whtever.. lets teach it a lesson.. lol .. who's in charge anyway ...

it will take a beating... but you can barely kill the things.. so give it a go ...

and if you can keep it shaded ... all the better.. you dont say how small.. but even just a lawnchair over it.. to shade it from hot sun.. would be a plus ... for a few weeks.. to get the roots pumping before the real heat of summer hits it...

That's what I figured - thanks, Ken. Its always good to hear somebody suggest what you were thinking lol. Its probably 2.5ft tall, maybe 2 ft wide (after its pruning)
