Leaf drop

Hi,
I have a Solanum Crispum, the Chilean potato plant.
I cut it back early in the year and it grows well. The leaves were large at first. Now the leaves are turning brown, starting at the stem, and then going completely brown and dropping off. When the leaves fall they are not dry but are still soft, although dead. The branches are now bare until halfway along where they are still sprouting new leaves. There are still leaves at the end but they are small and, of course, no flowers There is no sign of insects.
The shrubs next to it do not have this problem. I hope someone can help.
Regards

| Perduda, I just wanted you to know we weren't ignoring your post. I just really have no ideas from your description. Here in the US, we have "county extension offices" associated with state school. Each office is staffed with experts (hopefully) that can assist with problems. If you have anyone like that there or a local agricultural program at a university, you might try them. If you do find an answer, let us know! |
