Centerglow Ninebark

Does this shrub really reach 8-10 feet as the nursery tags state? I would like a rather fast growing shrub to block a view. I was speaking to an employee at a nursery and she said her diablo ninebark doesn't reach 8 feet in height (nursery tags have 6-8 feet in height for that variety). What are the downsides to this shrub? Is it particular about what kind of soil it's planted in? My yard consists of sandy soil.

I think the ninebark would do fine in sandy soil, but I think the height will be closer to 8 feet than 10.
