Sure it blooms!! Perhaps not as heavily as the more typical green or purple leaved selections, but it does flower.

It blooms on old wood, so this spring I pruned back only about half of the branches and sure enough, last year's branches bloomed. I kindof like the mixture of blooms on the old taller branches and bright new growth on the shorter pruned branches.
