| I posted a picture in the gallery wondering what the name of this shrub is but can I get a picture attached to a post in this form. Thanks Brian Ouimet |

| Agree with the poster on the gallery that it's mock orange. You prune a mock orange much like a forsythia. And, no, you won't have great success trying to control its size by pruning (although it should be pruned regularly for structure and flowering). There are about a bazillion different cultivars of mock orange. If you like the plant generally, you can probably find a cultivar that tops out at a smaller size. |

| hey brian google the name provided.. then flip to the images side ... you will find that it is one of the largest.. ugliest.. most uncontrollable flowering shrubs i know of ... with of course.. one of the most heavenly scents known to the northern gardener.. provided it is one that flowers reliably ... and is actually fragrant ... now google REJUVENATION PRUNING OF FLOWERING SHRUBS ... and that is how you begin the process of beating it back.. while retaining flower production ... but it is probably one you could run over with a truck and cut 95% of it out.. and be back with a rather large shrub in a couple years ... but you will sacrifice next seasons flowering ... it all depends on what your needs are this summer .... on my 5 acres .. i have room for a few.. if i were back in suburbia... i might think i have better uses for the 10 by 10 feet they easily take up ... time to research.. and either invest or divest in this potential monster good luck ken
