Can you discourage so many pink blooms on Goldmound Spireas?

Hi everyone. I love my Goldmounds -- just planted nine 3gal. pots in my front flowerbed. However, I see my neighbor's mature goldmounds and they are so fully covered with pink blooms that you can hardly tell they are yellow shrubs. Is there a way I can discourage so many pink flowers from blooming on my shrubs so that the yellow leaves stay the dominant color? I like the blooms just in moderation, not completely dominating the yellow coloring.
Thanks in advance!

Prune low at end of winter.

Prune off the buds as they appear. I do that multiple times a season on my 'Magic Carpet' spiraeas, as I can't abide the dirty pink flowers but love the shrub's foliage color.

FWIW, even hacking back the plant to the ground in winter - or nearly so - I've not found to be much of a discouragement to any spiraea flowering. They are tough plants with the ability to take a lot of abuse.

I just enjoy the fls for a couple weeks on my 'Limemound', which changes the look, then I trim spent fls. Vòila, there is a change.
