| I have a hedging plant, around 7 ft tall that has been shredded by snails. I believe it's a privet but I'm not 100%. Do you have a confirmation on the ID and suggestions on how to control the snails? See below for pics. I'm located in South-east England. Thanks for your help.

| Julie - the shrub is Viburnum tinus and the pest is Viburnum beetle. Snails seldom eat tough shrub leaves like these unless they're desperate and they leave much larger areas of damage. V tinus flowers in the winter. |
