Hello, I planted pink Indian Hawthorns along the front of my house in April. They bloomed nicely this first spring of their lives. Our late spring has been extremely hot and dry. The last few weeks many leaves have turned brown and dropped off, though the branches still are green and flexible. I have increased watering by soaking them every other day. Is this the right thing to do for my new plantings? I do not think they have the leaf spot..the leaves are just brown and dead. Thanks for any suggestions.
