If you are going to move it, don't trim it right now. Wait until early fall (when the weather starts cooling down a bit) and transplant it. Leave all the limbs (foliage) on so that it has the maximum amount of energy going into establishing a root system. The second summer after transplant, the root system will likely be established enough to allow for some pruning without a negative impact on the plant. Pruning in summer (not early spring and not fall/winter) should reduce chances of excessive bleeding.
