How to trim R. hispida (Rose acacia), aka Bristly Locust?

Thanks to Smivies, this shrub has found a name. And thanks to Ken and Brandon, a few alternative names (Bob, Blob) given:)

This Rose Acacia is in my sister's yard and probably should be trimmed. Anyone have a suggestion on how to trim this back? I think it should be moved as well because it looks too close to the Althea row (which is what it is tied to to hold it up).

Thanks.

RE: How to trim Robinia hispida and related species/hybrids

If you are going to move it, don't trim it right now. Wait until early fall (when the weather starts cooling down a bit) and transplant it. Leave all the limbs (foliage) on so that it has the maximum amount of energy going into establishing a root system. The second summer after transplant, the root system will likely be established enough to allow for some pruning without a negative impact on the plant. Pruning in summer (not early spring and not fall/winter) should reduce chances of excessive bleeding.

Thank you very much, Brandon7! I will pass along the info to my sister.
