I don't know why but my Wine and Roses Weigela is growing like this. Should I cut the tall branches down to be even with the rest or will the rest catch up? Its about 3 years old.

Mine growing in half shade always looks like a bad hair day. I think I will be moving it to more sun where its leaves will have better color, and I'll plan on giving it a good trim to even it out. Where it will be going won't be front and center like its current position, so hopefully it will do better, but if it doesn't it won't be a problem.

To be honest, even though I have lots of space, I wouldn't buy this plant again. Form, leaf color and blooming just aren't the best IME.

I agree-not happy with the color or the scant flowering either. going to even it out, probably move it to the weigela area in my other garden that gets more sun. Won't purchase another one either.
