Chicagoland Green Boxwood with yellow tips on leaves

We just recently planted some boxwoods and I noticed that some leaves have yellow tips on them. Unfortunately I don't know if they were like this before transplanting. Is this a disease or something I should be concerned about? I was worried about root rot from watering them but I though that turned the entire leaf yellow. The yellow tips aren't shriveled or anything, just yellow rather than green. It almost looks variegated. On some the very point of the leaf is green and its yellow around that. You can kind of see in the photo.

Thanks for any help,
Geoff

on a recent transplant.. the only proper diagnosis is TRANSPLANT SHOCK ...

water properly.. and that includes .. FINDING OUT IN THE SOIL WHAT IS GOING ON ... dig a hole next to the root mass and find out if it is too dry.. or too wet .. AT DEPTH ...

NO GUESSING...

and then respond appropriately ...

i dont 'do' boxwood.. but i wonder if that chalky film.. indicates that the plants were treated with preventatives.. prior to shipment ...

also.. how hot has it been.. since you did the planting ... many of us would have done this in very early spring.. while the plant was dormant ... which leads me to wonder if this is bigboxstore stock .... its not that it cant be done now.. its just that there would have been less stress.. in the cool spring [unfortunately.. there arent many for sale then]

good luck
