| Howdy. I can't even sign into the diseases forum, so I thought I'd try here.
These Spirea Magic Carpet were planted on Memorial Day. Overall they look good, but now have developed small brown spots that are spreading fast. We've had rain for days and days. This is probably something I would recognize right away if I knew what I was doing.

| planted 10 days ago.. and the damage just popped out of nowhere??? transplant shock ... for whatever reason ... yes.. there may be some secondary pathogen .. but i would not care about it ... they are a pretty bulletproof plant.. i wouldnt really worry about it ... it is so much so.. that you could probably shear it down to one inch.. transplant and all. and it will recover and thrive .... ken |

| Thanks, ken. Yeah, they looked beautiful when planted, and for the most part still look good. I was worried because I had to fill in with two MCs from another nursery that didn't look as healthy right next to them. Hoping nothing spread from the weaklings, though there were no leaf spots on those that I noticed--it looked mostly like bad culture. I realize leaf spot is usually no biggie but these are new, unestablished plants. |
