My friend has a beauty bush that her grandmother planted over 50 years ago on her property. It is HUGE; must be 15 feet high and 8 feet wide. She is moving and I would love to help her transfer this heirloom (or at least some of it) to her new home. I can't find any shoots from the monster shrub and, since it's never had much TLC, it's a swarm of old and new branches. The base is a good 2-3 feet around. Does anyone have any recommendations on what we have to do to get this giant from point A to point B? I know that we'll have to cut it back to make it portable but it seems unlikely that we'll be able to move a root system that large without taking out half the yard. That might be okay if the new owners want a pool where the shrub/tree once stood! I appreciate your assistance and hope you enjoy your Spring gardens!
