Shrub/Hedge Plant ID help

hi all, little over a month ago I removed 4 overgrown pines near the woods border and discovered this hedge/shrub plant behind them. Instead of cutting it down, I decided to keep this interesting shrub and try to incorporate it into the new border plantings. I was hoping if someone can help ID what sort of plant it is.
