Rose of Sharon?

Not sure if this is the right sight to ask this,,,but I have two Rose of Sharon bushes. We had a frigid winter and one bush was slow to come out. The other, on the north side of the house is still afraid to wake up. It has been in the 80's for weeks. The stems and under bark are still green. Will this bush come alive or is it just in the process of dying? I did see one stem with some green on it this week. The bush is 7 ft tall. Thanks:

trees are never afraid ..

wither lose you patience and get rid of it .....

or give it more time...

Thanks, I've got a lot of patience. Just curious as to how long it can maintain dormancy?

it is not maintaining dormancy ...

for one reason or another.. its has taken significant damage ...

it MIGHT be trying to recover.. from the root mass ... if it can ...

budding from way down low.. takes some time.. as the buds are not just sitting there.. waiting to emerge.. like on the rest of the plant ...

they need to trigger.. develop and grow ..

frankly.. if you dont see some life rather soon.. within a few weeks ... i wouldnt wait much longer ...

these are not slow motion foo foo shrubs ...
