mystery shrub

I have a shrub that I can't identify. It is deciduous with tiny green leaves and is covered with small tubular lavendar flowers in leaf axils from root to tip. The flowers have no scent, but are very attractive to bees of all kinds. It is about 4 feet tall and wide with loose branching. It is in full sun and gets average moisture. It is fairly slow to leaf out in the spring. The flowering began about three weeks ago and is still going strong. It does rebloom lightly throughout the summer.

My mother bought this for me at a local grocery store three or four years ago, and it did not have a tag identifying what it is. I saw another one in another garden and asked the owner if she knew the name. She couldn't remember the name, so was no help.

This is a lovely shrub and I'd like to get more, but I don't know what I'm looking for. Any help y'all might offer will be appreciated.
