Calycanthus Floridus - Sweetbush

I have a wonderful smelling shrub on my property that I just identified as calycanthus floridus. Several people I work with have expressed interest in planting this at their homes. I've noticed the strub seems to grow invasively with lots of suckers coming up near the base of the plant. Each year the shrub has increased it's footprint.

I'm wondering what would be the best way to propagate this plant so that my friends can enjoy it. Should I try to take cuttings or should I take advantage of the suckers? How do I get them to root? Maybe air layering?

I'm pretty much a novice so I need some guidance. Any advice?
