Shrub design advice...

I have a 40 foot chain link fence in the back yard that faces south (with hunter green "slats" inserted vertically within the fencing) and I like the following shrubs but don't really know how I should use them within the design and would appreciate any advice and guidence. The following shrubs have caught my fancy:

"Arctic Fire" red twig dogwood http://www.soonerplantfarm.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/plants.plantDetail /plant_id/2307/typeID//index.htm

"Arctic Sun" yellow (with red tips) dogwood

"Red Gnome" dogwood

Viburnum "Raspberry Tart"

"Blue Muffin" Viburnum
http://www.soonerplantfarm.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/plants.plantDetail /plant_id/400/typeID//index.htm

I have a three car garage that faces west and I already have two "Autumn Jazz" viburnum that are in front and evenly spaced with a decorative stone bird bath separating the two.

If anyone has any design advice as to how to mix and match and properly design the south facing fence I would appreciate it. I'm looking to add 5 to 7 shrubs along the fence but I'm uncertain as to how I should choose and place amongst the choices that I've looked at. If you have a better idea for a shrub choice that I may have overlooked, feel free to bring that to my attention. Everything planted needs to withstand unrelenting full sun.
Thank you.

RE: Shrub design advice...

way back when.. i planted a red and a yellow tip dogwood ... no names ...

less than 10 years later.. when i moved ... the were going on 15 feet tall and wide ...

i am going to GUESS that those ESTIMATEs for size.. are NOT the true potential for them ...

that is a lot of plants.. for a 40 foot space ... unless they are TRUE DWARF ... or you stay on top of them with rejuvenation pruning ...

hopefully someone with exact long term experience with these particular cultivars will come thru ..

most likely.. i would choose no more than 4 or 5 ... across the 40 feet ...
