| I bought a dark horse weigela about a month ago but decided not to plant it until the fall since it was so hot. With it being in the high 90's and 100's here in NC I've made sure I watered it everday. It's in a 2 gallon pot but the leaves are turning brown and crunchy and falling off. I moved it out of all day sun so it does get shade as it looks like the leaves are burning. What can I do to save this plant? I've never had a weigela and I really want to make sure I can keep this until I can get it planted in the fall. I also have a rodie that is in the pot sitting right next to it and it's doing fine. |

| Weigelia hate "wet feet"....watering it every day in a pot maybe too much and being water-logged the leaves will be prone to burning .....I would plant it out asap..... Ian |
