I have two small (so far) Serviceberry shrubs. Yesterday I bought a third to add to the grouping. After I planted it, I noticed some subtle differences between the new one and the ones I already have. The bark on the new one is more orangey than grey and the leaves, although the same shape as serviceberry, have a distinct "crease" going up the middle, causing the leaves to turn up ever so slightly, like a piece of paper than has been folded and then smoothed open again.

It is the grey bark of the serviceberry that I truly love about the plant and if I have been sold something other than a serviceberry, I will be sad (and mad!). Any idea if what I now have is NOT a serviceberry, but looks a lot like it?
