nope .. have been watching them grow in the beds .. and the wait is killing me..

and if all i end up with is the same old.. same old.. i will not be happy ... and will exterminate them with extreme prejudice ....

Well you are the expert but I would say purple as that seems to be the dominant color in lilacs. But that is just a wild guess sort of. Why don't you X polinate under controlled conditons and if you get a great new color at least you will know the parents. Unless one of them has been messing around and then you can go to the Maury show.

If definitely seedlings and not suckers then you will just have to wait and see.

they are surely much too far away to be suckers ...

and i claim no experience in starting shrubs from seed ... i suppose its no different from any other seed project ...

but i surely doesnt hurt to ask if anyone has any experience with such ...
