| I have a grouping of 7 viburnum planted 3 years ago. This spring one of the shrubs was struggling and never leafed out. As season progressed all shrubs had curled leaves. I sprayed with heavy water and dealt with what I believe were aphids or spider mites. The leaves improved - no more curling. However, several parts of two shrubs (to the ground) seem to be dead. The leaves are all browned and dead. What can be causing this? I fed and watered but would love to do more if more can be done.
Thanks, Nancy |

| Google "viburnum leaf curl aphid" or just "leaf curl aphid" to see if the descriptions and images match your problem. If so, you should find tips about trying soap or Neem with your spraying. You should also search here on GardenWeb for previous discussions about dealing with aphids. There is some sort of canola oil and dishwashing soap procedure, but I've forgotten what it's called. That might help in a fairly green way. Maybe someone else remembers the name and/or the ingredients. |
