I think it will probably be slower, many variegated plants seem to be that way. Supposedly able to root from cuttings, of course I have many I could use for grafts- lots, too many! It will be a while though, it only has five leaves right now. I just hope it is stable and does not revert.

Yes, some other kinds of trees produce numbers of seedlings that are variegated.
