I have a well thriving cotoneaster franchetii. It was planted new late Spring 2009 and has grown well, getting lots of sun. This shrub is noted as quite hardy but I noticed after I planted it, it did go through a spell where it had a notable amount of leaves yellowing and dropping off. It turned out to be no big deal and has thrived very nicely. Now, I've decided that I really want to move this bush around two or three feet from where it is. Should I do this in late Fall or early Spring/late Winter? Is it a touchy plant to transplant, does it have a deep or wide root structure that I need to be particularly careful with? Am I ill advised to move it at all (I really want to move it). Thanks to whomever has a word......
