Hi,
We moved in a few months ago and it is hot and dry, I try to keep em watered. If you look at the leaves can you tell me what is wrong, it already killed one whole plant. Thanks, link ....................

Hello,
Ive added my zone and the pics instead of a link. I hope the pictures can show the condition on the leaves. I dont even know what kind of shrubs they are ( seems to be 2 different types ) for even a basic place to start.

The plant in the second pic looks like a camelia, I think, it is really distorted.
I can't make out what plant the first pic is, mabey a gardenia?
These plants look like they have a fungus problem.
Take a "nice" branch of each to a local nursery,(not Home Depot or Lowes), a real nursery, to see what plants they are, and possibly what their problem is. If others in your area have the same problem, the nurseryman will know what it is.
Good Luck!
