Nellie stevens holly with lime green leaves

In April I planted 8 Nellie Stevens holly. All are growing well. However, 1 has leaves that are a much lighter shade of green than the others. Seven have the typical dark green leaves. This one is almost lime green throughout. No leaf spotting or other damage. Just a uniform light green shade. What would cause this? The leaves of all 8 plants were dark green when I bought them -- all in 3 gallon containers.

Probably a nitrogen deficiency. They may all need to be fertilized, even the ones that seem to be quite green. Plants can have a severe nutrient deficiency and still look "good". Ones that have poor or weak coloring are really bad off.

Already much stock at outlets here is not worth buying, due to it having been away from the fertilization program at the production facility for in some cases, months.

Now the leaves are drying up and turning a grayish brown. Could this be a further result of a nutrient deficiency? When I scratch the stem it is still green.
