I love the new 'Flutterby' bush!

I bought a little flutterby bush at Lowes about 2 months ago. It has quickly grown and filled out and has bloomed since a couple days after I planted it.
The flowers are different, same shape as regular butterfly bush though, different in color, two toned.
They are also very fragrant.
You can smell it acorss the yard.
Oh, by the way, these are sterile.
They are suppose to be more compact and not look so gangly.
Well, I would buy another one, but they are all gone.
Mabey the pink one next year.

Flutterby Lavender - Buddleia 'Podaras #11'

RE: I love the new 'Flutterby' bush! PS

P.S.

If these are as sterile as suggested by the suppliers, they are a really really good thing! Buddleja davidii is a real pest in much of the country.

Yes, the miniature Budds certainly are adorable. Home Depot stores here had three colors of the Buzz series, so I bought one of each. I think these get a bit bigger than some of the Flutterby varieties from Ball.

I have Blueberry Cobler

It is mabey 3 ft tall now, look at the length of the flower
in last pic! It has just went through a big bloom.

Personally, I'd stay away from the Buzz series. I'm pretty sure it's not sterile and is therefore environmentally damaging/invasive in many parts of the country.

Like waving a fancy mixed drink in front of an alcoholic, Butterfly4u has got me wanting to go out and get a collection of the Flutterby series started.

Brandon,
I totally understand what you are saying, once you smell
the blooms, you will be hooked!
I will definately be getting a pink one when I see it.
LOL! How sweet it is.
