Replant or not

I planted some new shrubs and perennials today. Stupidly enough, I did not read the instructions until I was done planting. I dug a hole about the same size as the pot the plant came in and put the root ball in it after loosening it a bit. I covered it with garden soil mix and mulch, watered it plenty. Then I realize that I should have dug the holes twice as big, prepared the soil before putting in the plants. Now my question is, should I dig them out and replant them in larger holes filled with compost and garden soil or should I let them be and see what happens? I spent quite a bit of money and time on this project and don't want to see them all wasted! Thanks for your suggestions!
