How to save small boxwood that has been pushed over

Hi all,

My landlord has some small boxwood arranged in a row (about 1 foot tall) and my motorcycle fell over and landed on them. The roots are still mostly in but a bunch got squished over to the side and are loose on their roots now.

How can I salvage/repair this boxwood? I thought maybe I could dig them out and replant them, but the landlord said the roots are very surface so if I dig around them I will kill it. Another idea, was to build up some new soil around the roots to stabilize it more.

What would you guys recommend? Thanks.
