vibernums - leatherleaf? carolina candy?

We want some vibernums to fill in a space as a sight barrier. We have a number of kinds around, but our source gives us only Leatherleaf as a balled, larger option. We have and like the judds, but our source only has those in containers. The reason we want things to fill out as soon as possible is that we are thinking of trying to sell the house next year. The judds we have are doing well in both sun and pretty deep shade as well as tolerating winter winds. The garden center also has a choice of the carolina candy [a new one, I think], but this is also in containers. Saw negatives on the leatherleaf that are scary - much susceptibility to mold, mildew and a host of insects and other diseases as well as causing allergic reaction to touching the leaves. But then other reviews say nothing of either of these. Anyone had experience with leatherleaf or carlolina candy?
