Ok, so I guess either fall or spring.

in my zone 5 ann arbor MI zone 5 .... adrian MI just sout

in late september through mid october ... two cool seasons before the heat of next summer ... at least 6 to 8 weeks before the soil freezes ....

or in spring, as soon as the soil thaws .... giving it 6 to 8 weeks before the heat of summer.. which mean april ....
