Can you I.D. this hydrangea - x posted from hydrangea forum

Hi,
This hydrangea stands about six feet tall. It's been neglected in my mom's abandoned garden. She's north central CT, zone 5b. Sometimes I think this is a pee gee due to is form and size but the blooms look more round rather than like a cone.

Yeah, Ken, my guess also was paniculata because I don't any other hydrangeas in the northeast that grow that big.
