| most contests are born to create mailing lists. Then they sell them. I thought any form of promotions are not allowed as postings. Who can we complain to? I wonder if this will generate other people promoting things in posts. Hey, a precdedent has been set, right? THe downfall begins... |

| Since the promotion is sponsored by iVillage, the owner of GardenWeb, and underwritten in part by NBC Universal, who in turn owns iVillage, I'd guess they can do whatever they want and place it however they want:-) And you always have the option of ignoring it entirely, just as you would any other post you are not interested in. |
