Stopped into a nursery this past week just to see what they had left for a buy 2 get 1 free sale.

To my surprise they these incredibly healthy looking My Monet Sunset. The color and habit was phenomenal.

This is the first time ever that the plant looked better than the promotional materials show.

Anyone have this plant? Curious as to what your thoughts are and if it really does get a decent red fall color.

This things just lights up my conifers and I'm contemplating another grouping.

My experience has been...light shade and it does well. That was in IN. In NY, low elevation hudson valley whete summer is ninety plus degrees for two months and high humidity...won't survive the first growing season. No experience with fall color.

Want to see plants that get promoted due to performance...but that's another topic.

All these plants where sitting out in full sun in one of the hottest summers since 1988 and they look great so I can't say heat and humidity effect this plant based on what I saw. That is a limited observation though.

The guy growing them said he uppotted them from a 1 gallon this spring to a 3 gallon container so they aren't pot bound at all. Nice healthy white roots. The promotional material says they don't burn...that appears to be true.
