Winterberry or Ilex verticillata This would appear on my top five shrub favorites list.
It is incredibly adaptable, best berry production is in full sun but it can also take shade. They can also grow in the middle of a swamp or top of a hill, we commonly see them in the road banks and fence rows. It is highly decorative, the berries stay nice through the holiday season. The berries are great for the birds.
When you buy them be sure to ask for female selection, chances are that you will have some wild males to pollinate them.
